All students must collect and read the
book 'Shrutinandan' authored by Pandit Ajoy
Chakrabarty (available both in Bengali and
English) to form a clear conception of his
musical mission, preferably before joining
this class. Ration card / Voter identity
card required in original as domiciliary
proof.
a)
Classical Vocal -
Subjects : Voice training/voice
culture, Raga-alaap system, development
of gayaki ang, bandish (composition),
alankar, palta, use of
taan-sargam and their structure
and all necessary practice thereof for singing
Dhrupad, Dhamar, Khyal,
Tappa, Thumri etc.
b)
Non-classical vocal -
Subjects : Voice throwing, gayaki
(style of singing), knowledge for tuning,
composing and music arrangement of songs
etc.
c)
Instrumental Music -
Subjects : Development of 'Raagdari'
& 'Gayaki-Ang' in respective
instruments music with details of Laya,
Tala and their applications.
d)
Art of Accompaniment -
Subjects : Tabla & Harmonium are in
the main. These classes include the techniques
of accompaniment with classical / non-classical
numbers.
a)
Regular Appreciation Class in Group -
Total 5 classes a year
Admission Process: Sample recording of songs
with rhythm hands in CD/Cassette along with
bio-data & contact address / tel. nos.
to be submitted first and if selected, he/she
will be allotted classes and intimated class
dates accordingly by Shrutinandan over phone.
(For Class Fees Rs. 1500 and for Regn./Maintenance
Rs. 500, totaling Rs. 2000 taken per student
every year in November, that is, the month
of commencement of the session)

Package Class Fees (on one
class off basis per weekly package) -

1 week - long - Rs. 3000.00 (max. 2 classes
by Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty)
2 week - long - Rs. 5500.00 (max. 3 classes

4 week - long - Rs.10500.00 (max. 6 classes
by Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty)
For additional classes on request Rs. 1000
for Panditji and Rs. 300 for other instructors.
c)
One to One Class by Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty
(both Vocal and Instrumental) -
Fees Rs. 1000 per class per hour, moderation
of which may be considered only for the
needy but exceptionally gifted young musicians.
Breakfast, lunch,
tea & dinner - Indian dishes only and
menu will be as arranged by Shrutinandan.
Double bed room ( maximum upto 2 persons).
NON-AC : For stay Rs. 500.00 per day &
for food per day per person Rs. 150.00.
AC : For stay Rs. 750.00 per day & for
food per day per person Rs. 150.00.
50% advance to be
sent by bank draft in favour of "Shrutinandan"
only to book the class dates and balance
to be paid in cash or by DD on arrival.
