Admission at 'Shrutinandan' for the regular course takes place in the month of April every year depending on vacancies. Interested students should send letter/email with their age proof certificate in the month of January. An audition after initial screening is held in February/March. The approved applicants should collect the Admission Form from 'Shrutinandan' after showing their age proof in original. No recommendation is entertained for admission.

Fresh talented candidates of tender age will get preference. Minimum age limit is 5 plus and maximum is 11 plus (up to 11 yrs 11 months & 29 days). Age limit may be relaxed up to the age of 14 plus if the candidate is exceptionally gifted and talented. Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty himself takes the audition for
such candidates. Musical talent of the candidate is judged by the Principal and experienced instructors of 'Shrutinandan' during the audition.

» Talent
» Quality of voice
» Sense of musical notes (Soor Jnan)
» Sense of Tala and Laya (Tala Jnan)
» Clarity of pronunciation
» Gayaki or singing style
» Love and respect for music in the family
