Here the students -

Will come having completed the “Arohee”
course of Shrutinandan in details.
»
Will know the meaning of all the songs of
“Arohee” course, read all their
lyrics, with proper Tali/Khali
in hands before singing, and then learn
to sing them, and write the detailed gayaki
of the swaras, that is, the picture-notes
of the songs.
»
Will learn to read and play the 8 Talas
already learnt in “Arohee” with
their correct musical sounds and accents,
and also to learn at least 4 types of improvisations
of each Theka of the Talas
and to read them correctly in Shrutinandan
process.
»
Will achieve the ability to sing having
played Tanpura themselves simultaneously
keeping Tali/Khali in Shrutinandan
process in the finest accuracy.
»
Will learn to tune the Tanpura correctly
in first 2 years, and then in the next 2
years to learn to fix the necessary steel
or bronze wires of right gauge on it according
to pitch.
»
Will learn two “Quida”
with their “vistar”
and to use them in their singing in Shrutinandan
process.
»
Will learn to sing basic constructions of
Sargam-taan (taan with
swaras), AA-Kar Tann (taan
with “AA” vowel) and Bol-taan
(taan with the words of lyric)
etc. when singing Khyal in primary
level.
»
Will learn to sing with correct pronunciation
and enunciation of Sanskrit Slokas on –
“Surya Pranam”, “Shanti
Bachan”, “Ganesh Pranam”,
“Guru Pranam Mantra”.
»
Will learn two Dhrupad songs and one Dhamar
song in Choutaal and Sultaal.
»
Will read the book “Shrutinandan”
thoroughly in-between lines.
»
Will learn to sing “Vilambit Bandish”
(composition) accurately in Shrutinandan
process (Raga : Kafi, Todi,
Basant Mukhari, Bilawal
from Geetinandan-I and Malkauns,
Yaman from Geetinandan-II).
»
Will learn to sing “Bandish”
(composition) in different Talas
in Madhya Laya composing them sensibly
in different Raga phrases in Shrutinandan
process.

Part I & II and others are the old traditional
compositions of great Masters.

Will write fluently Bengali songs in Bengali
script, Hindi songs in Hindi script and
songs of other languages in Roman script.
»
Will learn Major, Minor and other basic
chords and know how to play them on a Harmonium
or a Keyboard.
»
Will learn the lessons of voice training
and voice culture in details in Shrutinandan
process.
