Baaj  
  A typical style of playing an instrument in a typical manner is called Baaj. Same instrument can be played in different Baaj because the Baaj basically depends on the technical expertise and attitude of an artiste.
Bandish  
  The word Bandish is only used in Raga music. In modern times, Bandish is sung only in Dhrupad, Dhamar and Khyal style. Bandish must be composed in a rhythmic cycle or Taal in which the above mentioned styles are sung.
Bol-Taan  
  Singing of musical phrases interlinked with Bols (part of the lyric) when moving in medium, medium-fast, fast and very fast “Laya” (pace) is Bol-Taan. Obviously instruments cannot produce such Bol-Taan because no instrument can produce meaningful words.
