Mandra  
  Mandra means lower register. Lower octave musical notes are described as the swaras of Mandra Saptak (7 notes scale).
Madhya  
  Madhya means medium. The musical notes of medium octave of a Piano or a Harmonium or any other instrument are described as the Swaras of Madhya Saptak.
Matra  
  Matra means beat. A Tala (time cycle) I structured with different number of equi-distant beats. Such as Dadra Tala consists of 6 equidistant beats.
Meemd  
  Smooth, intelligent and logical gliding movement between two Swaras is “Meend.” Deep inner vision is necessary to sing beautiful presentation of “Meend” in a Raga. The gliding or sliding between two notes should never be distorted by careless use of intermediate unwanted notes in between.
Mishra  
  Mishra means “Mixed.” When a Raga is mixed with another or more of other Ragas it is called a Mishra Raga. Basant-Bahar, Hindol-Bahar, Bihagrha, Suddha-Kalyan are some names of Mishra Ragas.
