Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty, an exponent of
Indian Ragas & Raga-based music with
uncanny musical vision like all luminaries
from his very youth, a torch-bearer of Patiala
Gharana, but a strong believer of breaking
regional variables (‘gharanas’)
to reach out to the global musical arena
is ‘The Guru’ at 'Shrutinandan'.
A dedicated human soul, a born teacher,
Panditji, dreams off nurturing young talents
till they can walk independently on the
global musical highway.
Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty actuated by a mighty
missionary zeal to bequeath his hard-earned
wealth of musical knowledge and experience
to posterity, conceived and evolved the
most scientific method of teaching music
– the ‘Shrutinandan’ method.
This method is a happy synthesis of both
old and new systems of teaching music, and
has proved its validity in practice.
Pandit Chakrabarty, an illustrious and
very well known classical vocalist of India,
is no less renowned in the arena of other
genres of Indian vocal music including all
forms of non-classical songs. He is averse
to the so-called distinction between higher
and lower class of music. He thinks that
music; the Indian music in particular, is
closely linked up with the Indian spiritual
discipline and values.
Above all Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty is a
visionary, the guru.
